Sibley Halloween Parade October 31
SIBLEY FOREST HALLOWEEN PARADE 2013
Join neighbors for our annual Halloween Parade and Trick-or-Treat kick-off dinner, October 31, at 5:45 p.m.
We'll gather at the corner of Gunby Rd. and Sharp Mountain Creek beginning at 5:45, then parade down to the clubhouse at 6:00 p.m. for a pizza dinner before trick-or-treating.
We're feeding the whole family this year - the menu will include cheese pizza, fruit and water. Don’t worry about dinner that night, bring a blanket and enjoy a picnic dinner with your neighbors!
Here’s how it works:
The cost of food per family is $10.00, payable by CHECK only to SFWC and dropped off at Anita Donaldson's home, 3616 Sope Creek Farm.
Please PUT YOUR NAME and the number of adults and children attending on your check. This is your RSVP.
We love our visitors -- grandchildren, friends, cousins, neighbors -- but, if they plan to eat, please be sure to RSVP with the number of people you will have with you. It’s important we receive an accurate headcount for this event, so we don’t leave anyone without food. Please add $2 for each guest-adult or child.
RSVP by October 29.
Note: if you just want to parade and not eat, you can do that. Just come along and parade!
We'll announce the official start of trick-or-treating after everyone has been served dinner and had a chance to eat. This will give people time to eat with their families before heading home to pass out candy. Trick or treating should start about 6:30 p.m.
HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
Questions? Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or use the “contact us/women's club” section of the website at www.sibleyforest.net.
FYI--Gunby Road will be closed between the clubhouse and Sharp Mountain Creek from 5:30 PM until 6:15 PM, October 31. Plan to use an alternate route if you must enter or exit the neighborhood during this time. We really need that stretch of Gunby Road to be completely free of vehicle traffic during the parade. This is for the safety of all participants in our annual Halloween Parade. We are expecting over 350 residents to parade in this year's event.
Also, please remember to drive slowly throughout the entire neighborhood the evening of Halloween, and remind your teen drivers to do the same. It’s worth the extra 30 seconds or so that it takes to drive below the speed limit and keep our children safe.
Trick-or-Treating will begin at 6:15 PM and end at 9:00 PM.
Thank you for your cooperation and helping us make Halloween a fun and safe event for everyone!
